Book Reviews and Recommendations

As Windows 2000
and 2003 gain acceptance in the corporate marketplace, the pressure to upgrade your skill set will increase as well. Windows NT
administrators will have an easier time than most, but there is
still much to learn that is new and different in Windows 2000
and 2003. Having the right reference and training guides will save you both time and money. We are constantly reading and reviewing new Windows 2000
and 2003 books as part of our training as well. This is our two cents on what's out
there....
| Note: Most links on
our site will take you to the
book's description on
Bookpool.com. Bookpool is an online bookstore similar to Amazon.com, but they specialize in Technical books (and they are less expensive.) This is not a paid
endorsement, and we do not receive sales commissions from Bookpool.com. We just think they're the best place to buy our books. We hope you'll agree! |

| Our Review Policy... |
Our Reviews are not motivated by sales commissions...
We are not in the business of selling books, so you can trust that our reviews are not motivated by sales commissions. This practice costs us a lot of potential revenue, but we think our readers would rather have the honest truth about a book, and not a "sales pitch".
We don't waste your time with poor reviews...
If we don't like a book, it won't appear here. After all, who has time to read (or write) a bad review. We may occasionally list some points about a book that we didn't particularly like, but every book featured here is excellent in
its own right, and has our seal of approval.
We don't play favorites with publishers...
Once again, we don't receive anything from book publishers except for their books. No paid endorsements, kickbacks, or commissions. We will review books from any publisher or author who sends us a review copy of their book. If you're a publisher or author and would like your newest
titles reviewed, drop us a line. |

| Where to find great books at great prices.... |
|
Bookpool.com
Everybody knows about Amazon.com, but Bookpool is frequently less expensive, and they specialize in Technical Books. They carry MS Press, O'Reilly, Que, Osborne, SAMS, and others.
FatBrain.com
Another online professional bookstore. Although we prefer Bookpool's prices, FatBrain has a better selection in a few categories. Essentially our second stop on the web when looking for a title.
Half Price Computer Books
Another source for great deals on computer books. Much
cheaper than Amazon and B&N
O'Reilly and Associates
Publishers of some of the best books in the industry. Well written, concise, accurate, and great cover art!. If I'm looking for a reference book, I always check O'Reilly first. I've never been disappointed. (This is not a paid endorsement!) |
